Dr. Saravanan Kuppusamy

R& D Head – Medicinal Chemistry

Dr. Saravanan. K holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the National Chemical Laboratory in Pune, India. Prior to Skanda, he has more than 20 years of industrial experience at Syngene International Ltd in the field of Medicinal chemistry & Drug discovery programs. At Syngene, he successfully managed collaborations with international clients in areas such as organic synthesis, medicinal & computational chemistry. He has involved in early-stage drug discovery targets and synthesis of key potential drug candidates.

At Skanda, he is now leading the medicinal chemistry division. He plays a key role in determining strategies and improving operational excellence to ensure the smooth running of projects. He has co-authored over 12 publications and holds 3 patents. He was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship from Germany and has completed three postdoctoral studies in universities in Germany, Canada, and the UK.
