Sr. Principal Scientist – Biology

Purushotham is a Principal Scientist at Skanda, primarily involved in target-based assays, both in vitro and in vivo, for various therapeutic areas. He leads the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and Oncology platform, utilizing high-throughput technologies at Skanda Life SciencesPurushotham plays a key role in advancing the field of drug discovery.

Purushotham is responsible for designing and executing in vitro and in vivo experiments and for leading interdisciplinary drug discovery teams in various therapeutic areas including oncology, osteoporosis, CNS, AD, anti-microbials, inflammation, respiratory, and metabolic disorders. With an industrial experience in monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), protein biochemistry, protein purification and characterization, HTS, enrichment and purification of low molecular weight plasma protein biomarkers, protein-ligand interactions, analytical techniques and chromatography, insulin signal transduction, cell-based assays, and animal cell culture. Purushotham plays a key role in advancing the field of drug discovery. He holds his master’s & (PhD) degree in molecular biology from the University of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
